We’ve had a decade of ‘version one’ data companies. We’ve seen them emerge and grow, and in some cases come to dominate. We now know their views on control over data, how important they consider their users’ data, and we find them wanting. So what now?
We need the means for data collected to be used, even by advertisers, without the people from whom it was derived or inferred being exploited.
This is what we’re aiming to do. We intend to fix the broken data exchange between those who provide personalised services and products, and the people who use them. We want to deliver the benefits of using personal data while ensuring the privacy of the individuals about whom it was collected.
